DESCRIPTION:Join the Internet of Caring Things team and guests at this in-person event\, for a morning of hands-on activities\, networking with experts\, and inspirational talks about the latest wearable technologies and innovations. \nWe ask: \n\nCan wearable devices support wellness\, health or fun activities across all ages?\nWhat leading-edge technologies could businesses leverage to create these opportunities?\n\nThis event is suitable for all businesses interested in exploring wearable technologies and developing ‘Caring Things‘. \n  \nSpeaker Line Up: \nIntroduction to IoCT – Dr Jennine Jonczyk\, Programme Manager (Internet of Caring Things) \nInternet of Things (IoT) – Dr Simon Johnson\, Chief Technologist (CPI) \nFlexible hybrid electronics – Tony Green\, Software Engineering Manager for the HealthTech Business Unit (CPI) \nIoCT In Action – Affotek \nExperts in Residence – Rosie Wakely\, Senior Innovation Consultant (National Innovation Centre for Ageing) & Dr Sophie Skach\, Postdoctoral Research Assistant (Queen Mary University of London) – Talking about Smart Materials and showcasing their interactive e-textile zoo. \nWhilst the event is open to all it will there is the opportunity for those businesses based in the North of Tyne Combined Authority Regions (Newcastle\, North Tyneside and Northumberland) to find out more about our Internet of Caring Things Funded Support Programme. \n  \nInternet of Caring Things \nThe Internet of Caring Things is a network of connected devices and services with a clear mission: to actively care for people – their physical and mental well-being – and what really matters to them – such as leisure\, safety and security\, pets\, planet\, sustainability and connecting with family and friends. \nThis event is brought to you by Ageing Intelligence® and the Internet of Caring Things programme as part of the UK National Innovation Centre Ageing (NICA). \nYour personal data will be stored securely in line with regulations set out under GDPR. DESCRIPTION:Are you going through the Menopause or Peri-Menopause and have a partner/friend/family member who is supporting you? \nAre you currently supporting\, or have you previously supported\, someone going through Menopause or Peri-Menopause? \nWould you like to share your story? We would love to hear from you. \nVolunteer Criteria \nAnyone who has been involved in supporting someone through Menopause or Peri-Menopause. \nAnyone who has received support during and after Menopause. \nWhat will members be asked to do? \nThis is an opportunity to share your experiences of receiving support\, or providing support to someone through Menopause or Peri-Menopause. \nThis is an in-person event \nIf you are unable to attend the in-person session\, and would still like to take part\, you can send your story to joanne.redshaw@ncl.ac.uk (all information will be kept anonymous) \nWhat will members get for taking part? \nRefreshments will be provided
