The Catalyst has an ecosystem of innovative individuals from the UK’s National Innovation Centre for the Ageing and the National Innovation Centre for Data, both hosted and funded by Newcastle University in partnership with UK Government. Our dynamic community will enable the creation of a supportive ecosystem between the innovation centres in our business space in Newcastle and commercial organisations, with a focus on delivering new insights through data analytics or delivering new products and services which help us to age well and for longer.

Our aim is for The National Innovation Centre for Data (NICD) to transform how companies are doing business across the globe by utilising their data in ways they have never explored before. NICD builds on the world-leading expertise in data science and its application developed within Newcastle University over the past decade.
