October 8, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Event Navigation
The National Innovation Centre for Data is collaborating with Datajam North East and Analyst Network North-East to bring you the fourth event in the DataJam Event Series which will explore the improved use of data to address issues of inclusivity.
About DataJam
Datajam creates opportunities for people passionate about the North East to come together to use their data and the community’s skills to improve services for the people in our region, with a focus on the major economic, social and environmental challenges we face.
Our latest event features focuses on theme of Inclusivity data. The use of digital technologies and the exploitation of data are clearly generating wealth but is there a danger of society leaving behind those without the ability to access the technology?
Covid has accelerated the take-up of digital technology allowing those with the digital know-how to operate effectively from home but for those without the skills has it increased their isolation and degraded their opportunities? How can we, as the data community, help policy makers better understand and react to these challenges?
About this Event
This is the fourth event in our online series and will feature a range of speakers from regional organisations giving speed talks and hosting panel discussions on Inclusivity data. Hear from speakers including:
Daniel Barrett, Head of Data Science, Citizens Advice
