It’s a full day of practical, hands-on Alteryx challenges, open to users of every level, from people who have never opened Alteryx through to Advanced-level veterans. Individuals are welcome and so are teams; if you turn up solo, they will pair you up on the day. The North East has been doing serious data work for years, and this event is built to celebrate the data nerds of the North.

The day runs in two halves. The morning is a training session led by the Bulien team, covering the Alteryx essentials and the techniques you’ll need for the afternoon. The afternoon is the hackathon itself, where you’ll put what you’ve learned to work on real challenges with real data. That split is what makes the event genuinely open to all levels: complete newcomers get brought up to speed before lunch and let loose on the problems after, while the more experienced get a useful refresher and a proper stretch.

Expect real challenges with real data, food and coffee throughout the day, prizes for the standout solutions, and time spent alongside the Bulien team, which sports a disproportionate number of Alteryx ACEs and other world-class talents. Hackathons consistently deliver something tutorials cannot: muscle memory built in a few focused hours with people who know slightly more, and slightly less, than you do.
