TSA Voice joins innovation community at The Catalyst

TSA relocates headquarters to Newcastle’s landmark innovation hub to strengthen collaboration and drive the future of technology enabled care

April 15th 2026

One of the UK’s leading organisations representing the technology enabled care (TEC) sector has moved into The Catalyst, celebrating a major milestone in its 30-year history.

TEC Services Association (TSA), an independent advisory body in technology enabled care, has joined the landmark innovation building and relocated its headquarters from Cheshire to Newcastle, as it looks ahead to the next chapter of its work supporting high-quality, future-focused care across the UK.

Working on behalf of organisations that commission, provide and supply technology enabled care services – including telehealth, telecare, digital health and connectivity solutions – TSA help to improve independence, safety and quality of life for more than two million people who draw on care and support in the UK.

The organisation brings together insight from across the sector to influence policy, standards and best practice at a national level, regularly providing advice on proactive and preventative care to governments.

The move places TSA at the heart of Newcastle’s innovation ecosystem. The Catalyst is home to the National Innovation Centre for Data (NICD), the National Innovation Centre for Ageing (NICA) and more than 30 organisations working at the forefront of data, ageing, health and care innovation.

Alyson Scurfield, Chief Executive at TSA, said: “Moving into The Catalyst represents a bold new chapter for TSA. It places us at the heart of a thriving community where research, lived experience and real-world delivery come together.

“The Catalyst is home to people and organisations who share our belief that the future of care must be proactive, preventative and powered by insight. Being based alongside world leading thinkers, innovators and partners strengthens our ability to champion technology enabled care on a national and international scale.”

The Catalyst will serve as TSA’s base for operations, partnership working and sector-wide engagement.

Charlotte Findlay, Head of Membership Services, said: “For TSA, The Catalyst feels like the right place for many reasons. It reflects our ambition to connect ideas and action and gives us a base where collaboration is part of everyday life.

“It also brings us closer to the incredible work happening across the North East, a region known for its ingenuity, its warm and grounded communities and its influential role in shaping health and ageing research.”

Situated at the heart of Newcastle Helix, a 24-acre innovation district focused on data, urban science and life sciences, The Catalyst brings together a thriving community of businesses and research specialists advancing innovation in data and healthy ageing.

Amelia Findlay, centre manager at The Catalyst, said: “We’re proud to welcome TSA to The Catalyst, reflecting the strength of our community and reinforcing the building’s role as a home for organisations driving meaningful change across health, care and technology.

“TSA’s national influence and sector insight will be a real asset to our community and we’re excited to see the collaborations, conversations and impact that will grow from having them based here in Newcastle.”
