The Catalyst building
New insights and new perspectives that will challenge your thinking and stimulate debate

About this event

The Executive Education event series offers the opportunity for the regional business community, Executive Education and MBA learners as well as the University community to come together and hear from a diverse and inspiring speaker line-up, from the business world through to the latest practice-based research.

We hope the event series will bring new insights and perspectives that will challenge your thinking and stimulate debate.

Join us for the first event in the series, Responsible Business on Thursday 21 October at The Catalyst. We’ll be joined by Lizzy Hodcroft, speaker and consultant based in the North East and James Perry, CEO LocoSoco.

Lizzy Hodcroft

North East based entrepreneur Lizzy Hodcroft is a speaker and consultant who previously ran and sold a food business, The Sweet Beet which appeared on Dragon’s Den. In 2019, Lizzy delivered a TEDx talk to an audience of over 1,500.

James Perry

James Perry is the founder and CEO of LocoSoco after leaving a career in Debt Capital Markets at the Royal Bank of Scotland with a desire to create assets instead of debt. LocoSoco is a collaborative movement built on the belief that communities are the answer to a sustainable future.

This hybrid event will be held at The Catalyst, Newcastle Helix starting at 17:30. If you’re joining us online, we’ll be starting at 18:00.
