December 8, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Event Navigation
Established at Newcastle University, VOICE is a passionate community of members of the public, patients & carers who share their lived experience to help shape health research and innovation, ensuring it meets the real needs and priorities of real people.
The National Innovation Centre for Ageing is delighted to invite you to ‘VOICE: Celebrating 15 years of impact’ on Thursday 8th December, 3-5pm, followed by drinks and canapes until 6pm.
Join us as we look back over the last 15 years and celebrate all that VOICE members have achieved and the impact they have had in research and innovation.
We will hear from VOICE members, researchers and businesses, as well as the VOICE team, sharing their stories and experiences of VOICE and how it has evolved over the years.
This will be a great opportunity to learn about how VOICE began, some of the key programmes and initiatives that we are involved in, and crucially, our vision for the future.
Speakers include:
Professor Lynne Corner, Director of VOICE and Chief Operating Officer at the UK National Innovation Centre for Ageing (NICA)
Professor Nic Palmarini, Director of the UK National Innovation for Ageing (NICA)
Alex Mitchell, VOICE Programme Manager
Professor Chris Day, Vice-Chancellor and President, Newcastle University
The event will take place here at The Catalyst and will be followed by a drinks reception. You will have the opportunity to meet and socialise with other members of the VOICE community, speak to the VOICE team and view the ‘Newcastle: City of Longevity’ exhibition. Due to limited spaces, registration is required.
For those who are unable to attend in person, the event will also be livestreamed. Please select online ticket type when registering to receive the link.
